Recommendations

My first recommendation on this blog may seem a bit unconventional, seeing how this is supposed to be about books, but I derived so much pleasure and inspiration from this series that it seems only fair to give it the recommendation it deserves.

I'm talking about Supernatural, the greatest TV show of my adult years.  Many of you will already know the Winchester adventures but for those of you who don't, please go and check it out. Supernatural combines action, adventure, drama, horror, thriller, romance, paranormal activities and mystery in such a way that even I, a horror hater, enjoy it immensely.

Synopsis

Twenty-two years ago, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, "Watchmen") raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it.

In the following years, the brothers hunt countless evil things, solve mysteries, meet creatures they'd never thought even existed and make more than one deal with the devil to save their skins.

I hope that, if you don't know this great series already, I can excite you to at least have a look at it. If you're interested in the occult, mysterious, dramatic and tragic as well as the funny things in life you'll love it. Let me know what you think!
